The Section hosts regular meetings, technical evenings, and an annual golf day for all members and guests. The golf day has become one of the most enjoyed NDT events in South Africa.
Members are given support and advice on any NDT related queries and assistance regarding examinations.
Level III members can earn recertification points for attending technical section meetings.
The Southern Africa Section won a silver in the President’s Award program for section management and operations excellence for the 2018 - 2025 years. In addition to the traditional acrylic award and acknowledgment on ASNT’s website, in Materials Evaluation and at ASNT’s Annual Conference awards banquet, the section also receives recognition via the Section Operations Seal of Excellence.
