The Section hosts regular meetings, technical evenings, an annual family fun day and an annual golf day for all members and guests. The golf day has become one of the most enjoyed NDT events in South Africa.
Members are given support and advice on any NDT related queries and assistance regarding examinations.
Level III members can earn recertification points for attending technical section meetings.
Members and non-members are welcome to any meetings, including committee meetings.
The Southern Africa Section won a silver in the President’s Award program for section management and operations excellence for the 2018 – 2019, 2019 - 2020 and
2020-2021 program year. In addition to the traditional acrylic award and acknowledgment on ASNT’s website, in Materials Evaluation and at ASNT’s Annual Conference awards banquet, the section also receives recognition via the Section Operations Seal of Excellence.
This hard-working Section aims to be of service to everyone in NDT. The committee is focusing on obtaining a Gold Award in the near future.
